In loving memory of our 
Friend and Pastor 
Thomas Arthur Booth




Thomas Arthur Booth 68, of Vernedale Drive, Mount Vernon, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Booth was born June 22, 1942, in Mount Vernon to the late John and Stella (Vess) Booth. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 to 1965 and retired in 2004 after 22 years of employment with TRW of Mount Vernon. Mr. Booth was an avid golfer and coin collector and served as the 2010 president of the Numismatic Society. He served as pastor of the Woods Christian Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joyce (Flack) Booth; two sons, Troy Booth of Mount Vernon and Thomas A. (Mary) Booth Jr. of Howard; a daughter, Trudy (Matthew) Knowles of Hemet, Calif.; four grandchildren, Tym Booth, Terren Booth, Shawna Booth and Terri Booth; three stepgrandchildren, Jairemy Shears, Patrick Lovell and Emily Byles; a great-grandson, Matthew McCament; five brothers, Larry (Celia) Gardner of Mount Vernon, John (Sharon) Booth of Mount Vernon, Richard (Jean) Booth of Howard, Roger (Janet) Booth of Martinsburg and David (Kathy) Booth of Mount Vernon; and three sisters, Jean (Jack) Snow of Mount Vernon, Nancy Kent of Mount Vernon and Sue Gardner of Sarasota, Fla.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Booth; and six sisters, Marlene Melton, Joan Bailey, Jane Abraham, Connie Diane Booth, Pat Elkins and Sandra Cunningham.
